The Role

ProcurementIQ is looking for a dynamic and highly motivated Sales Manager. In this role you will manage a team of 8-10 Business Development Managers (BDMs), helping them reach their new career heights and ensuring they are consistently meeting (better yet, exceeding!) their sales targets.

Under your guidance and leadership, you will cultivate and maintain a target-driven team that is competitive, yet supportive of one another, and full of pros eager to up their game. You will also work one on one with each of your team members to understand their needs, maximize talent and amplify performance. Additionally, you’ll have the opportunity to serve as a collaborative partner to our VP of Sales and Procurement. Together, you’ll ensure that sales strategies and processes are innovative, aligned with client needs and focused on driving revenue.

  • Proactively provide daily support, guidance and training to a team of 8-10 Business Development Managers.
  • Maintain 100% of monthly quota and hold all team members accountable to performance.
  • Help team members navigate and build their sales strategy with the goal of optimizing each deal.
  • Serve as an expert who can teach BDMs how to educate decision makers, build rapport, and negotiate contracts.
  • Manage the sales training and on-boarding process.
  • Identify key sales performance indicators and develop benchmarks for growth.
  • Foster and maintain a positive, upbeat, and winning culture that thrives on healthy competition, teamwork, and strong commitment to individual and team accountability.
  • Provide monthly performance and forecasting reports and conduct individual performance reviews.


  • 2-3 years of sales experience (preferably inside) with a proven track record of surpassing targets.
  • 2+ years of managing an inside sales team that regularly beat/crushed its sales goals.
  • Experience with a consultative sales approach and a demonstrable history of coaching sales people throughout that process, but also the ability to understand when to apply a more transactional approach.
  • Experience working with long sales cycles that involve multiple decision makers.
  • Enjoys the challenge of selling products and services ahead of and/or new to the market.
  • A motivator and competitor who can foster and maintain high morale and inspire pride at a team and individual level.
  • A solutions oriented individual who is unfazed by rejection, obstacles and unpredictable challenges
  • Excellent communication and active listening skills, and can help team members develop and sharpen this crucial skill.
  • Possess outstanding leadership abilities, and instinctively know how to leverage team and company assets to achieve success.
  • Strong organization and time management skills with experience working in high growth and unpredictable environments.
  • SalesForce and LinkedIn Navigator experience preferred.
