Your Mission:

Whether it was a lemonade stand, a lawn mowing service, or selling Girl Scout cookies for your troop, you were born to sell.  Maybe you’ve been called a hunter, quota crusher, prospecting powerhouse, sales sultan, or spin seller - but at your core, you just love to sell.

Whether you are a recent grad or just cutting your teeth in B2B sales, you can appreciate that the genesis of every healthy deal is a strong lead. You have that a nose for uncovering new prospects and more importantly you know how to convert them in to opportunities.  This is the perfect opportunity for a passionate individual looking to master the basics and beyond of Consultative Sales.

As a Business Development Representative, you will be in a true hybrid role of both hunting and prospecting as well as managing the full cycle sales process.  You will support a team of Business Development Managers by creating a pipeline of viable opportunities for them to nurture through the full sales cycle.  BUT we want to keep you challenged, motivated and evolving, therefore you will ALSO carry a full cycle sales quota in addition to creating the front-end opportunities.

A Day in the Life:

  • You are curious by nature, and researching and prospecting new leads fuels you with an arsenal of information. Having the latitude to hunt for prospects anywhere in the U.S., and in any vertical, screams opportunity to you.
  • Phone Stamina is a must. Ability to hit quotas and be strategic is your ultimate goal
  • You know how to hone in on the right decision makers. Gatekeepers are allies not obstacles. You know what to do once a prospect is on the phone and how to use their time wisely.
  • Qualifying is something you take seriously. Your time is valuable as well and you never want to spin your wheels on a prospect that isn’t a fit.
  • You know how to listen for pain points and connect them with meaningful solutions.
  • Webinars are not something you plug and play. You enjoy conducting them and treat each one like it’s own unique showcase.
  • Building a pipeline is fluid and owning a process is paramount to your success. You appreciate the importance of curating various deal sizes and timelines and you know how to move your deals forward.
  • When it comes to closing, you are not afraid to ask for the deal and lock it down.

 

Must haves:

  • Proven success generating leads and booking demos.
  • Must be able to work on site at ProcurementIQ’s West L.A. location.
  • Outstanding interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven success dealing directly with various levels of clientele, including C-level executives. 
  • A keen interest in proactively improving skills and knowledge through continuous learning.
  • Ability to travel domestically to occasional networking events and face-to-face meetings.

 

Nice to haves:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. 
  • 1-3 years 

Compensation & Benefits:

  • 55K Base + comms (OTE 75K+)
